Cliff Decatrel is an award-producer, development executive, and strategic media leader with more than 30 years of experience across film, television, journalism, advertising, and global partnerships. He is the Founder and CEO of Deca Media Productions, a Los Angeles based company focused on socially conscious, globally relevant storytelling across scripted, documentary, podcast, and digital formats.

Previously, Cliff created and led Associated Press Productions, building AP’s long form production unit and helping transform its journalism into acclaimed films and series. His credits include 20 Days in Mariupol, which earned the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Peabody Award, Pulitzer Prize, and Sundance Audience Award for Best Documentary, as well as Grand Knighthawk: Infiltrating the KKK, an Emmy Award winning investigative documentary, and The Little Girl in the Napalm for French TV5.

Earlier in his career, Cliff held senior leadership roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Showtime Networks, Cablevision Media Sales, Playboy Entertainment Group, and Time Warner Cable, where he led business development, sales, marketing, and licensing initiatives. He is also deeply committed to mentorship and industry leadership, serving on the board of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society, as Chair of the Mentor Committee for Colour Entertainment, on the advisory board of NAMIC Southern California, and on the board of the Haiti International Film Festival.

Born in New York and of Haitian descent, Cliff lives in Los Angeles. He is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, with conversational Spanish, and brings a global perspective, business acumen, and keen sense of purpose to every project he develops.
