Executive Vice President, 25Stories Productions-CBS Studios Television
Bruce Evans was named Executive Vice President of 25 Stories Productions in Fall, 2021. At 25 Stories, Bruce works in concert with successful producers, Jenny Lumet and Alex Kurtzman, to amplify the voices of writers of color and bring their diverse television projects to the screen.
Prior to 25 Stories, Bruce Evans served as Executive Vice President, Current Programming, NBC Entertainment. As Head of Current Programming, Evans helped shepherd new shows like “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”. Evans was also involved in the production of NBC hit series such as “This Is Us”, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, “Chicago Fire”, “The Blacklist”, “New Amsterdam” and “Manifest”, as well as the Emmy-winning daily serial drama, “Days of Our Lives”. In the past, Bruce has also overseen the popular series “Grimm”, “Heroes”, “Crossing Jordan”, “Medium”, and the entire Law and Order franchise.
An NBC veteran for 25 years, Evans had previously served as Senior Vice President, Current Programming, NBC Entertainment since 2007, Vice President, Current Series, NBC Entertainment, since July 2000, Director, Prime-Time Series, NBC Entertainment, since 1998, Manager, Prime-Time Series, NBC Entertainment, since August 1997, and Associate, Prime-Time Series, since August 1996. He joined NBC in September 1995 as Coordinator, Prime-Time Series.
In 2000, he joined forces with his industry peers as the Co-founder of Colour Entertainment. The Colour Entertainment Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to maximizing the potential of executives of color who work in the entertainment industry.
Before joining NBC, Evans served as the Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the National Association of County Health Officials in Washington D.C. Prior to that position, he was employed as an assistant buyer for the May Department Stores Washington D.C subsidiary, Hecht’s.
A native of New Haven, Connecticut, Evans received a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management. Evans is the proud father of 10-year-old twins and currently resides in Studio City, Calif.
